Mark's Microprose Magic Museum

      
             
      This page contains decks that I used when the Microprose Magic The Gathering Software was playable on the net via ten. It features Classic type 1 decks including Weismann's "The Deck", Zak Dolans "Plague Rat" speed test deck, Kim's "Kim School" My own superb rainbow killer :), Decks that abuse the rules and "Fun" decks.

With the demise of "Ten", Internet Type 1 play could only be done through "apprentice" which has no AI.or rules checking. The decks I present here (Kim and The Deck excepted) should be playable by the AI in DOTP and give any deck a run for it's money. All the decks are available from the DOWNLOADS section along with some other magic related stuff.

HOT STUFF. Now you can play moxes and moats on-line and participate in sealed deck arabians tournament. Manalink 1.32 available in downloads section.

  5isgood   This type 1.5 deck is based on the premise that creatures with power 5 rapidly bring a game to an end      
           
  Atog1   This is a type 1 variant of a rogue type 2 deck I once used to win a tournament. The orb is controlled through zippy and the relic barrier stifling the opponents mana leaving you free to cast fireballs with impunity. And you should see how big zippy can get :)      
           
  First Turn   This Type 1 deck usually manages a huge fatty on the first turn. It often follows up with huge fattys on turns 2,3 and 4 too!      
           
  Kim   John Kim designed a very powerful balance deck. See the Schools article.      
           
  Landkill   Landkill in Type 1 is generally thought to be crap due to artifact mana sources. This landkiller uses titanias song to turn moxes into dust :)      
           
  LIFE   It's crap, but can you kill it ?      
           
  Miller   This library chomper has decked me a few times!      
           
  Mishras Madness   The type 1 variant in the microprose offering differed from the type 1 rules in force for real tournaments allowing 4 mishra's workshops in a deck. This deck abuses that, And the AI knows how to play the War Barge\Obelisk Combo.      
           
  Myf1t160   My type 1 60 card rainbow deck. Power 9 abuse with recycling.      
           
  Naf Orb   Winter Orb and Naf's Asp is a lock!      
           
  Plague Rat   Zak Dolan won the world's first ever Magic Championship with a nasty stasis deck. He used this plague rat deck for testing.      
           
  The Deck   Originated by Brian Weissman. Heavy defense until opponents hand is empty, then pop out a serra (backed up with a counter).      
           
  Wombat   Type 1 Fun, Wombats! LOL.      
           
  Balltwister   My Favorite 40 card Wild Deck. Especially reserved for challengers who leave the game parameters at the defaults (NOOBIES)
